Ethos and Values
At the Marlborough...
- We believe in every child’s innate right to an education which enables, inspires and enriches
- We believe every child brings something unique and wonderful to our community and to the world they inhabit
- We believe families have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with us, as partners, in their child’s educational and personal development
- We believe it is our duty to always seek to improve and bring the best of ourselves in order to provide the best for our children
In order to achieve this, we ensure our Values apply equally to both staff and pupils. We believe, all members of the Marlborough community should...
Have The Confidence...
To have a voice and know their voice counts
To continue learning and developing by trying new things, seeing new places, sharing new experiences and meeting new people
To be aware of their skills, knowledge and gifts. That these make them a valued and unique member of our community and therefore to have the confidence to share and celebrate who they are
Have The Courage...
To know that they are safe to try and that failure is only the first step of a new journey of discovery
To make choices that enable us all to live and learn in a safe place, even when this is really hard to do
To speak up and reach out when they need help or support; know that they matter
Show Respect...
By always trying their best, trying that little bit harder and being open to new ideas
By caring for their environment and the world they live in By listening to others and being kind
Show Belonging...
By joining in and being part of school life
By sharing, caring and appreciating all members of our community
By upholding our Values, living our Ethos and helping others to do the same
