Pufferfish Class

Welcome to Pufferfish

Our class teacher for Pufferfish class is Mrs Hurcombe

Mrs Hurcombe

A bit about me: I joined the school in September 2022 and whilst I am new to The Marlborough, the school and the children that attend, already have my heart. I particularly enjoy the speech and language side of the role I have here. I have 3 children that keep me busy at home too.

Favourite food: Just one!? I don’t have a favourite food in particular (that’s my problem) but I do love pesto pasta or carbonara, a spicy curry and garlic naan, anything chocolate and of course a glass of Prosecco! I will never say no to Creams either, if you don’t feel sick it doesn’t count!

Hobbies: I love sports, both watching and playing, although these days there seems to be a lot more watching! I love watching my own children play football and rugby at the weekends, come rain or shine, I’ll always be there cheering them on! I support Charlton Athletic and attend games most Saturdays. I can’t go without my nail appointments and I love shopping, it appears I have an unhealthy amount of trainers!

Our HLTA for interventions and class cover is Miss Smith

A bit about me: I joined the Marlborough in January 2023 after working as a TA in another school. I studied psychology at university which has led to my interest in both education and SEN. At home I have two fluffy Shih Tzu dogs who keep me thoroughly entertained (and sometimes annoyed!)

Favourite food: Any type of Asian food, sushi, noodles, curries, dumplings. I love it all!

Hobbies: I enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with my friends.

A bit about me: I started working at the Marlborough in September 2022 and it is the best decision I ever made as I love being a TA. I am a single mum so my life consists of spending time with my daughter, dancing , singing and taking adventures.

Favourite food: Prawns (seafood boil) or cheesy bites are my go to foods.

Hobbies: I enjoy swimming, travelling and reading with my daughter.

A bit about me: I started working at the Marlborough on a temporary basis at the end of the 24/25 academic year after completing my degree, and was lucky enough to be accepted for a full-time position at the start of this academic year!

Favourite food: Lasagne, cookies, and peaches!

Hobbies: I have been into running for a few years now and have completed two half-marathons. I also love baking and cooking!
