Snow and Bad Weather
In severe weather it may be necessary to close the Marlborough.
At such times, information will be sent to parents electronically via Arbor.
A statement will also be displayed on the front page of our website.
Please advise the office if you change your mobile telephone number or indeed any other contact details.
We stress that no children are ever sent home from school without proper arrangements being made first with their parents or alternative contacts.
If the school is closed for a number of days, the staff will set work for your pupils via Evidence For Learning or Google Classrooms.
The Arbor platform is vital in our communication with you - it is important that you create and access your Arbor account frequently - if you require support with this please contact the school office.
Emergencies
In the unlikely event of any emergency, the school will contact you as soon as possible, please refrain from calling the school as this could block telephone lines needed for the emergency services.
Please do not come to the school. Your children will be safe. You may cause complications if we are evacuating the site. An emergency evacuation may mean that we go to The Hundred of Hoo site, the local church or the Community Centre/Park for example. The school has emergency procedures in place.
In the event of an emergency – information will be posted on the school’s learning platform, social media accounts and, where possible, you will be notified by Arbor.
