Leadership Team

Mrs Kennett - Head of Provision

A bit about me: I always knew I wanted to be a teacher as I loved school myself! It wasn't until I moved into special education 15 years ago that I found my true passion. I am so proud to be Head of the Marlborough there's something incredibly magical about our school. I have two wonderful children who keep me busy.

Favourite food: As someone who very rarely turns down any type of food this is a tricky one! I love just a yummy pizza just as much as a roast dinner as long as it comes with lots of gravy!

Hobbies: I love reading and playing board games with my children as well as being creative and seeing friends and family.

Mrs Currie - Deputy Headteacher

A bit about me: I’m lucky enough to be have been working at The Marlborough for 10 years now and before that I was a teacher in Hoo St Werburgh Primary.  I have been Deputy Head since January 2025 and although I miss being in the classroom, I highly value the opportunity  to be able to work collaboratively and creatively with the other leaders in school and across Rivermead Inclusive Trust to guide The Marlborough to being the very best we can be for our amazing young people. The best thing about my job is that every single day, the children of Marlborough do something that makes me smile! Sometimes this is for big reasons like seeing someone overcoming a tricky time or achieving something new.  Often though, the things that bring me the biggest smiles are the playful interactions, the beaming grins when someone bounces off the bus to see us in the mornings or the enjoyment of a shared story, song or "Bucket Time".

Favourite food: This is a tough choice, but I think I’d have to be loyal to my name and say that this Currie loves curry!

Hobbies: When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring new places.  I love to be outside in general but my favourite place to be is by the sea.  The water and the sound of the waves always helps me to feel calm and relaxed.  I really like swimming in the sea when it's not too cold too!  When I don't want to be calm and relaxed, I am a real adrenaline seeker and I love theme parks and exciting outdoor activities like zip wire, high ropes etc. One of things I most is creativity and I love to turn a challenge into an opportunity!  I am an advocate for the arts and enjoy theatre shows, arts and crafts and reading books.
Oh, and love all things RAINBOW!

I love spending time with family and friends, especially my gorgeous 3-year-old Granddaughter.

Mrs Lovelock - SENDCo and FLO

Rhea Lovelock - SENDCO

A bit about me: Hi there, I am Mrs Lovelock, the SENDCo and Family Liaison Officer here at The Marlborough. I have been a teacher for thirteen years and have specialised in SEND for six years. During that time, I have been fortunate enough to have worked in a range of schools across all Key Stages, both as a teacher and in senior leadership roles. Working at The Marlborough is a privilege. Our school is truly an inspiring place and I learn something new every day from our wonderful pupils.  I have three children who keep me very busy, and I’m often found most weekends standing at the side of a football pitch!

Favourite food: My favourite food has to be a home-cooked Sunday roast, with all of the trimmings, of course!

Hobbies: I have played netball since I was in primary school and enjoy being part of a team, playing weekly in a local league. My family and I also love bike rides and muddy walks with our Sprocker spaniel, Archie!
